Overview
Painting, done right
Paint is the finish everyone sees, and the part most people rush. A lasting paint job is mostly preparation: patching, sanding, caulking, priming and protecting everything that is not getting painted. We do the slow part carefully so the fast part looks right for a long time.
New York homes bring their own challenges. Plaster walls in prewar apartments crack and need skim coating before paint. Radiators and steam pipes need heat-resistant coatings. Older layers may contain lead and have to be handled safely. Exterior stucco, brick, wood siding and iron railings each take different prep and different products. Co-op and condo buildings have rules about work hours and elevator access.
Empire Pro NY paints homes, apartments, rental units and commercial spaces across Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens, Manhattan and the Bronx. Because we are a full-service contractor, our painters work alongside our carpenters and drywall crew, so the wall gets fixed before it gets painted. One call covers it.
What we fix
Tired or dated interiors
Walls, ceilings, trim and doors in fresh color. We patch, skim, sand and prime so the finish looks new, not painted over.
Peeling or chalking exterior paint
Wood siding, trim, stucco and masonry that have given up. We scrape, prime and recoat with products made for the surface.
Cracked plaster and damaged drywall
Paint will not hide a crack. Our drywall and plaster crew repairs the wall first, then the painters take over.
Worn kitchen cabinets
Cabinet painting and refinishing gives a kitchen a new look without a full remodel. Doors come off, get sprayed and go back on.
Gray, splintered decks and fences
Power washing, repair, sanding and stain or paint so the wood is protected through another New York winter.
Rental turnover and move-in painting
Landlords get a clean, neutral unit ready for the next tenant, on a schedule that works between leases.
Commercial spaces
Offices, storefronts, restaurants and common areas, scheduled around your hours so the business keeps running.

Questions people ask
How much does it cost to paint a room or a house?
It depends on size, condition of the walls, the finish and how much repair is needed. We quote after walking the space with you, and estimates are free. Every scope is in writing.
Do you help with color selection?
Yes. We bring samples, paint test patches on your wall and show you how the color reads in your light before committing.
My building has old paint. Is that a lead concern?
In older New York buildings it can be. We follow lead-safe work practices for prep and cleanup and will tell you if testing makes sense.
Can you paint while we live in the apartment?
Yes. We work room by room, seal off the work area and clean up daily so you keep use of your home.
Do you paint cabinets instead of replacing them?
Yes. Solid cabinets in good shape can be cleaned, sanded, primed and sprayed for a factory-smooth finish without a full remodel.
